All The Flags

Parliament House, the bastion of political control is the starting point for Van Badham’s wild journey through the muck and subterfuge of Australian political life. A break-in at the nearby Flowing Fences Hotel provides the basis for this theatrical farce that draws many references from the film All The President’s Men.

The main scandal begins with a gang of robbers caught in the act of placing expensive wine at Senator Robert Blasky’s bedside. Journalists Jenny Woodstein and Jacqui Bernward uncover connections of corruption up and down the rollercoaster satire. However, it is the mysterious Deep Throat in the underground carpark who has the real answers.

Originally written for four female actors this production is adapted for the third year acting cohort in a new work by a contemporary Australian playwright.

All The Flags is part of the University Theatre Ensemble's (UTE) 2019 Season.

Proudly presented by The School of Communication & Creative Industries, Charles Sturt University.
