Buy TicketsLuminescence Chamber Singers present highlights of their repertoire, including Elena Kats-Chernin's Lichtmärchen, composed in celebration of Luminescence's 10th Birthday in 2025. Lichtmärchen explores light as hope, wisdom, and discovery, lost and then found again. This program celebrates curiosity, and the restless, seeking spirit, as Luminescence leads listeners into the unfamiliar and the unknown. Trust this thrilling ensemble to bring clarity, colour, and character to every corner of their unique body of repertoire, from their favourite 16th century composers to newly commissioned work, developed in collaboration with the singers.
"Luminescence has established itself not as a group, or an organisation, or an act – although it is all these things. Luminescence, like its namesake in nature, is a phenomenon." Canberra City News, June 2025
Luminescence Chamber Singers is a 6-piece vocal ensemble based on Ngunnawal country (Canberra). Luminescence has emerged as one of Australia’s most dynamic ensembles. Equally at home in new music and renaissance polyphony, Luminescence champions the unbound expressive potential of our original instrument: the human voice.
