CHORDS (Choral and Dance Spectacular) is a biennial performing arts event celebrating the talent, creativity and spirit of local public school students in Years 3 to 6 from across the Wagga Wagga area.

Arts education is an important platform for students to thrive, express, create, collaborate, learn and excel. CHORDS brings these opportunities to life, providing students with an exciting and inclusive experience where they can develop their skills, build confidence and celebrate the joy of performing alongside their peers.

Through a series of four performances at the Wagga Wagga Civic Theatre, students experience the excitement of performing on stage in a professional theatre environment. The spectacular brings together a core choir, combined choir and a diverse range of music and dance performances, showcasing the incredible talent of our local students and schools.

The theme for CHORDS 2026 is UNSTOPPABLE – celebrating the qualities that help young people believe in themselves, embrace challenges and recognise the unique strengths they bring to the world.

Throughout the spectacular, students will explore what it means to be:

Unshakeable – brave and resilient, with the strength to keep going and not let challenges wreck your day.

Incredible – recognising that you were born to be great and having the confidence to follow what you believe in.

Unbreakable – determined, fearless and capable of overcoming obstacles, even when things become difficult.

Irreplaceable – understanding that every person is unique, valued and a hero in their own right.

More than simply a performance, CHORDS provides students with invaluable opportunities to develop confidence, teamwork, resilience, creativity and a love of the performing arts. Students from schools across the region come together to rehearse, perform and share an experience that creates lasting memories and connections.
