Wagga Weekender Festival 2027

Wagga Weekender is back with another genre-smashing line-up of risk-takers, rule-breakers and musical adventurers. Things are about to get wonderfully strange!

From Tibetan song and Scandinavian folk to contemporary opera, fearless new compositions and boundary-pushing jazz, 2027 brings extraordinary artists and wildly different sounds together for one unforgettable weekend. This year's program invites you to wander a little further, listen outside the lines and discover music you didn't know you loved.

Your Weekend Pass includes a ticket to these nine shows:

  • Migrating Bird - An evocative and untamed soundworld where classical meets contemporary.
  • undead - Opera is alive, kicking… and refusing to behave.
  • K2 Duo - Bassoon and drums? It shouldn't work. But somehow, brilliantly, it does.
  • Syzygy Ensemble -  Sword fights, big ideas and the pursuit of joy. For those who like their chamber music with a side of adventure.
  • Tenzin Choegyal - Extraordinary voice. Ancient traditions. For wanderers, storytellers and anyone willing to be transported.
  • Runa Cara -  Irish reels meet Scandinavian folk.  From Danish lullabies to toe-tapping spoons.  Come ready to roam
  • Whale Ghosts - Dark histories rise from the deep in this haunting meeting of music improvisation and storytelling.
  • Alex Raineri - From Debussy and Ravel to the adventurous edges of contemporary music
  • The Vampires - Hypnotic grooves, intertwining horns and a sound all their own.
